Eternit Sports and Social Club is a thriving venue close to Royston and Cambridge where sport, entertainment and social life collide in the best possible way. Set in beautiful country side, Eternit has grown into a go-to destination for a venue, hall, bar and meeting room hire. Additionally, pool, youth and adult football, Snooker, live bands, car shows, motorbike shows and charity fundays find a home here to allow unforgettable indoor/ outdoor gatherings.

Eternit is a welcoming social club built for connection. Our fully stocked indoor bar, proudly serving 9 draught choices, is the perfect place to settle in with friends, teammates or family. Or if the sun is out why not take the time to have an iced Hot Numbers coffee at our outside bar.
With a full size snooker table, two pool tables (three teams), a dart board, every size football pitch (17 teams, women’s, men’s, boys and girls) and 2 petanque courts (2 teams), there’s always something worth cheering, a moment worth debating and a reason to stay for one more round.

Football
Football runs through the veins of Eternit. Our multiple football pitches are home to local village teams the Shepreth Spitfires, and Orwell FC. Also hosting a wide range of local teams who have their football tournaments on our lovely flat, well looked after grounds throughout the year. The huge size of the playing fields, our outside bar and the large car park makes Eternit an obvious place to hire to raise money for any Adult or Youth teams.

Events, Concerts & Private Hire
Beyond sport, Eternit offers a large outdoor space available for hire, ideal for concerts, car shows, festivals, community events, and celebrations. Our outside bar provides a full range of refreshments and snacks; and further to this, parking is not an issue as there is a vast car/ coach park.
We also provide private party hire with experienced staff, making the club a flexible venue for birthdays, anniversaries, gender reveals, corporate events and more. A kitchen with a full size catering fridge allows for you to bring lovely buffets, while the outside lends itself so well to bouncy castles and perhaps a food van or hog roast.
